Come join Dr Kevin Hickson as he discusses his essay In Praise of Social Democracy (co-written with former British Labour deputy leader Roy Hattersley), the debates it started, and how its arguments relates to the Labor Party and Fabians in Australia.
Dr Kevin Hickson is a Senior Lecturer from the University of Liverpool and his research focuses on British politics, especially British political ideology and political economy. He is a prominent contributor to recent debates over the ideological identity of New Labour and of the Conservatives under David Cameron.
